Competition: Win Phosphorescent AND Dan Deacon tickets.

Foggy Notions have been on a great run of putting on gigs of late with great shows from Antipop Consortium and Deerhunter, and most likely Final Fantasy will be his usual stunning self on Friday in Whelan's. However the fun doesn't stop on Friday. Monday sees Phosphorescent return to Whelan's after just over a year's abscence. Matthew Houck's solo show in the Upstairs venue was one of my favourite gigs of last year (and he was even better at ATP a couple of weeks later). This time he's bringing a full band with him. Support on the night comes from the much talked about Sam Amadon.

Then on Wednesday and Thursday of next week Dan Deacon & Ensemble plays Andrews Lane Threatre touring what is probably the best album of the year in Bromst. It will probably be insanely good.

I've got a double pass to give away to Phosphoresent and the THURSDAY Dan Deacon gig.

To win Phosphorescent pass, send your answer to this question to thrillpiercomp@gmail.com with the subject "Phosphorescent".

The latest Phosphorescent album is a tribute record to who?

To win Dan Deacon pass, send your answer to this question to thrillpiercomp@gmail.com with the subject "Dan Deacon".

Much of the finishing work on Bromst was carried out in which Montana studio?

That's a bit of a tricky question I know so as a hint I'd advise that you use the tags on this blog to find the interview that I did with Deacon earlier in the year.

Entry to the Phosphorescent competition will close on Sunday, the Dan Deacon one on Tuesday and the winners will be picked using random.org and shortly thereafter will be informed.
